1st Australian Willys Nationals
The Willys Downunder Club have received the go ahead from the BRN committee to host the first ever Willys Nationals to be held in Australia at the Big River Nationals next year. These will be held in the Riverland of South Australia from 13th to 16th April and will basically be an event within an event. They will primarily be for modified Willys however restored Willys and their owners are more than welcome to attend.
Entrants will enter the Big River Nationals first and then enter the Willys Nationals which will see them as an entrant in each event. They will receive all entitlements for the Big River Nationals, plus additional Willys Nationals merchandise. There will be awards for Best Willys 1933-36; 1937-39; 1940-41, Overall Best Willys and Best Restored.
If you own a Willys, are building a Willys or simply addicted to Willys the 1st Willys Nationals are a must do in your diary for next year. We’ll have a Willys Woundup and lots of Willys Chatter while we mix it with our friends in their “normal” cars. So get to work polishing or building and we’ll see just how many Willys we can get to the first ever Willys Nationals.
